To me, this seals my perception that the government has but one objective: to keep the military-industrial complex churning along. Everything they claim to be doing to help the "little guy" ends up being stripped of anything that would help middle and lower income people and small businesses and small family farms. In fact, it makes it harder for us to survive.

The Elite are sitting pretty, saying "let them eat cake."

Do you want real reform to health care? There are a number of physicians in the House and Senate. I would be willing to bet that if they got together and wrote a bill to reform our health care system, it would work. The problem is that the professional politicians do not want something they cannot control and perhaps get some other gain. In stead of letting the experts in health care write the reform, they want something they can manipulate to their own sssends.

I'm sure he never meant to keep the promise, but that doesn't mean we still can't hold him accountable. I have told my friends about this and even my Democrat friends think this is really low and wrong of Reid and Pelosi. The bloom is off the Obama Rose, for sure. They are pretty cynical about him. String em up!

Love the site. The cash for clunkers article is really good to share with others. I have shared it with several people and it helped them see that government can't give to one group of people without taking from another, so there's never a net gain (only a loss, because government also pays itself a cut of whatever it redistributes). Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Global warming is becoming such an obvious problem that someone somewhere other than the US President needs to step up to help drive a massive campaign which aims to reduce Global Warming.

Why not just follow Canada's lead. We could do that as the minimum health insurance offered and let the corporations stay and be the "better" insurance offered as an upgrade to the governments basic policy.
