SBABG,
Thanks for this great article, and keep up the great work. The attack on the 2nd Amendment is a sickening display of puppets proclaiming platitudes. They muster their numbers, beat their "peace" drum and try to slide this country comfortably into socialism. It is tragic. The giant leaps of illogic they use to illustrate and justify an unjustifiable position leaves any well reasoned soul dumb struck and in awe. How can this really be happening?

Your article brings to mind the class I took for my concealed weapons permit. The small classroom represented the range of people across the socio-economic strata; they provided an interesting range of perspectives on why they were their. Surprisingly, several of those attending labeled themselves as liberals. When asked why they wanted to carry, they responded that they had either been the victim of an assault or home invasion. None of the incidents had involved a firearm, just knives! Regardless, the victims believed that were they armed, they would have been able to protect themselves or the ones they loved.

The lesson learned from this: Platitudes are pleasant, but fail to factor for the felt effects of reality.
